Owner, Artistic Director
As I reflect on the 20+ years that I have been connected with Class Act Dance, I am awed and inspired by the honor - and the responsibility - that comes with what we do here. Passing along the joy of dance, the commitment to excellence, and the traditions that come with all genres of dance is our passion, our life.
The youth that matriculate through Class Act Dance learn far more than proper technique. Students are exposed to musicality of all kinds. They live the thrill of theater and performance. They absorb life lessons about hard work and dedication. They experience the ups – and maybe some downs – of pushing to reach past what they thought possible, understanding more about themselves in the process.
It is incumbent upon me and the Class Act staff that we treat our students and their guardians with respect, courtesy and professionalism, while imparting to them the best dance education and performance opportunities that we can offer. We’re focused on creating a safe, comfortable, nurturing environment where students learn, grow and achieve. We’ve tried hard to provide a broad, balanced curriculum for those wishing to advance their skills, while also providing an outlet for those simply seeking the sheer joy and energy of dance and performance.
We are a community. The many volunteers who make competitions, productions and performances happen are central to our success, and we gratefully acknowledge their contributions over the years. We welcome constructive input on how we are doing, and how we can make a better environment for our community. Feel free to speak with any of our staff members at any time.
We feel fortunate that we are allowed to share our passion with our students. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family.
“We look at the dance to impart the sensation of living in an affirmation of life, to energize the spectator into a keener awareness of the vigor, the mystery, the humor, the variety, and the wonder of life”
