Artistic Director, Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher, Judge, and Leader in the Hip Hop arena, Marco Cruz brings passion to the dance floor. Marco comes to us as a current Master Instructor at Dellos, but is well remembered for his influences at American Dance of SLO and guest classes at Class Act Dance over the years.
Marco has the spirit of “always being a student” saying that one must “first, respect the art, understanding the importance of everything from strength training to the history behind it.” Marco prides himself as a teacher who pushes the levels, always expecting the most from his students….who’ve been known to call him “the guy who will kill your legs!” Comparing himself often to the likes of Robert Schultz, Marco’s style has been expressed through known artists such as Rihanna, Naturi Naughton, Olivia Newton John, Clint Black and Kenny Loggins.
Owner of DanceLiveNow.com and Convention Choreographer and Judge at KAR, his professional pursuits have no end. Marco has also been a judge at the Hall of Fame Dance Competition, has worked as Choreographer and Dancer with Paramount Pictures, ABC, and Disneyland, he has also been found at Dance Intensives at UCLA, SDSU, CSU Northridge, Allan Hancock College, and many other colleges across the state. We’re excited to have Marco Cruz at Class Act Dance and Performing Arts Studio, raising the bar….once again.
