Dancers of all ages will find a fun and stimulating approach to this classic dance form. Class Act is proud to have instructors like Shirley Kirks-Mar,
Molly Comin and Nancy Becket with a strong heritage in the flat-footed-hoofing of Broadway, Hollywood, and the Los Angeles music industry. Proudly hosting guest instructors such as sisters Chloe and Maude Arnold, Class Act has a commitment to the vibrancy of Tap as it thrives today.

Monday 6:30 Tap 3 (currently accepting sign-ups):
Students aged 10+ with at least 2 years of tap will find a challenge in this class. Molly Comin’s Level 3 tap class promises students will be pushed to improve clarity and speed with the help of detailed instruction. Under a teaching style of fun, positive encouragement, and patience, Molly’s students thrive as they attempt new steps such as single and double pull-backs, wings, and other trick steps. A variety of music is appreciated (students can bring their own I-pods and share their favorites) as we prove that we can Tap to anything! Attire: Comfortable clothing that provides freedom of movement.
Tuesday 6:00 Tap Fundamentals:
Whether a beginner or a returning student wanting to brush up on the basics, this class offers Molly Comin’s unique approach to the fundamentals of Tap. Students ages 10 to adult can join or drop in at any time to benefit from learning and rehearsing tap’s most recognizable combinations. Starting with identifying one’s proper dance space, proper balance & weight transitions, then developing clarity and speed, this is a great class to regain your confidence and have fun! Attire: comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement, tap shoes.
Wednesday 3:30 Intro Tap:
Students ages 5+ learn the fundamentals of tap for the first time with upbeat music and positive encouragement. Each student receives one-on-one attention as well as group instruction to assure proper training in tap basics. Attire: Comfortable clothes or dance clothes that allow freedom of movement, tap shoes.
Wednesday 4:30 Tap 1:
Students ages 8+ with some exposure to tap learn the fundamental combinations known world-wide. A variety of music is used to encourage response to the beat. Counting the beat and understanding proper anticipation so that steps are begun and continued in unison is a consistent goal. While this Level 1 class requires structure and discipline, students learn through laughter and creativity as they do repetitive drills as teams and independently. Attire; Comfortable clothes or dance clothes that allow freedom of movement, tap shoes.
Wednesday 6:00 Tap 2:
Students of any age, with at least one year of tap are encouraged to try this Level 2 tap class. (Teacher will evaluate for most successful placement.) Students will find a fast paced environment where expectations are significantly increased from Level 1 in clarity and speed. All basic combinations are reviewed, with variations added for additional challenge. Primary focus of this class is precision and unity.
