Class Act Dance Dress Code

Why a Dress Code? 

To ensure a safe, inclusive, and focused environment, all dancers are provided a studio dress code that varies depending on dance genre and age. A dress code promotes a sense of belonging and reduces distractions allowing students to concentrate on class instruction. 

Trial Class?

Not sure what to wear for your first visit? No problem! Comfortable, stretchy clothes and socks or bare feet will work for most classes. We’ll help guide you from there, and have extra ballet, tap and Jazz shoes available for use during class times.

INCLUDE is our adaptive dance program designed for children with disabilities and developmental differences, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and related conditions.

Each class provides a supportive, joyful space where students can explore movement, rhythm, and creativity—dancing alongside advanced student mentors who assist and encourage throughout the class.

Boys Ballet

Ages 6 - 9 years old

This foundational class prepares young dancers for Level 1 of the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (CPYB) syllabus.

Dancers will begin developing proper alignment, technique, and musicality through structured exercises designed for early ballet training.

In the second semester, dancers are introduced to the ballet barre, an essential component of classical training.

This class focuses on:

Ballet 5 dancers, our pre-professional students, will refine their technique and performance quality through advanced pedagogy and focused coaching. Emphasis is placed on versatility, endurance, and readiness for auditions, intensives, and performance opportunities.

Designed for advanced pointe dancers, this class offers focused training in both classical partnering and classical variations, rotating based on instructor preference.
